Incentive (Day 4).

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I feel like a poser when it comes to selling prints for the first time. In fact, I’m squeamish to even say, “I’m selling photography.” Truth is, I know plenty of AMAZING photographers, and I certainly wouldn’t even claim to be a photographer. I’m just a gal who likes taking pictures in her garden and enjoys processing photos with limited skills.

I imagine my subject matter being enjoyed by fellow nature lovers and kids. Let’s face it, your average person probably wouldn’t want to hang pictures of moths. Even my husband would classify some of the pictures as gross. But there’s beauty and great design in the details. I see an icky bug eating another icky bug and am amazed. If I were going to spend the time and money to decorate my boys’ room, I’d probably plaster the walls with pictures of wildlife – especially the icky ones.

So, for your daily incentive leading up to The Handmade Market, share with me a creative risk you’ve taken or long to take. I’ll send you a coupon for $3 off a print purchase at the show. Thanks for reading!
